The statements of two foreign women before a magistrate in an alleged assault case in Lahore's Defence area have revealed a sequence of events linked to the incident.
According to their statements, they first met the main suspect during a cryptocurrency event in Singapore before being taken to a house in Lahore after arriving in Pakistan.
The women stated that they were threatened with broken glass and forced to send messages to contacts on their mobile phones requesting money, but no response was received.
Their statements added that, on the final day, the suspect told them he had obtained the money and that they were free to leave. They were then driven towards the airport while the suspect spoke to another person by telephone and received different instructions.
During the journey, the vehicle was involved in an accident. The two women said they immediately jumped from the vehicle and sought help on the street.
According to their statements, they then took refuge at a mechanic's workshop, where the police were informed. A police patrol, including a female officer, later arrived, secured their safety and provided reassurance after reaching the scene.
