Pakistan fast bowler Khurram Shahzad has said individual performances are secondary to the team's success, stressing that positive results will not come unless both the bowling and batting units perform collectively.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Samaa TV, Shahzad said his personal performance against Bangladesh was satisfactory, but the team's victory remained the foremost objective.
He said Test cricket differs completely from One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches, adding that maintaining a bowling speed of more than 140 kilometres per hour throughout a Test match is a major challenge.
Shahzad said training with the same intensity as competitive matches forms an essential part of a professional cricketer's preparation. He added that the players had undergone more than 20 fitness tests in line with the demands of the modern game.

He also said the training camp includes experienced coaches, including Sarfaraz Ahmed, Misbah-ul-Haq and Umar Gul. Shahzad said the team's full attention is on the forthcoming West Indies and England series and expressed confidence of producing encouraging results in both contests.
