Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited Turkish companies to expand investment in Pakistan, saying the country’s economy is moving toward stability and the government is providing an investor-friendly environment.
The prime minister held separate meetings with heads of leading Turkish business groups and industrial organisations in Istanbul, where both sides discussed bilateral economic cooperation and new investment opportunities.
Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Turkey and attracting more Turkish investment.
He highlighted the deep brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey and stressed the importance of transforming these ties into a strong economic and investment partnership.

Turkish companies invited to invest
The prime minister invited Turkish companies to increase investment in energy, mining and minerals, infrastructure, maritime affairs, logistics, IT, telecommunications, agriculture and privatisation.
He said the Special Investment Facilitation Council is providing one-window facilitation and support to investors, making it easier for foreign companies to explore and execute projects in Pakistan.
During a meeting with Chalak Holding, the prime minister discussed opportunities in energy, infrastructure, IT and privatisation. He welcomed the company’s interest in expanding its operations in Pakistan.

Albayrak Group’s role appreciated
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated Albayrak Group’s activities in Pakistan and acknowledged its contribution to the country’s communication connectivity and infrastructure development.
He encouraged the group to increase investment in maritime infrastructure, ports and logistics.

The president of the Union of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey also met the prime minister.
Shehbaz appreciated the organisation’s efforts to strengthen Pakistan-Turkey bilateral ties and proposed a systematic mechanism for regular contacts between the private sectors of both countries. He also invited a Turkish business delegation to visit Pakistan and review emerging investment opportunities.
