Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baqaei said the United States' commitment to ending the war on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon, was important under the first paragraph of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Speaking at a press briefing, Baqaei said the United States must honour its commitments and, if necessary, compel Israel to fulfil its obligations under the agreement.

Baqaei said the text of the Memorandum of Understanding remained the benchmark for assessing whether the United States had met its commitments.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also said mine clearance in the Strait of Hormuz was a matter for Iran under the Memorandum of Understanding.
He said there was no need for any other country to intervene in mine clearance operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
