14 children have died and 18 others were evacuated after the roof of a tuition centre collapsed in the Kahna area of Lahore.
According to hospital officials, nineteen injured children were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Kahna. Fourteen children were brought dead to the hospital.
Dr Ahsan stated that five injured children are under treatment at the hospital, and their condition is now out of danger.
In Kahna, a woman who ran the tuition centre and her child were also seriously injured after being trapped under the rubble, according to DIG Operations.
The names of the deceased children included: Maah Noor, daughter of Farooq, aged 7; Ramsha, daughter of Aatif, aged 7; Tabish, son of Shehzad, aged 6; Ghulam Nabi, son of Farmaan Ali, aged 9; Khadija, daughter of Waseem, aged 16; Salman, son of Waseem, aged 6; and Fawad, son of Abid, aged 8.
Police said the roof collapse occurred at a tuition centre in Kahna. Two persons, including the owner of the centre, have been taken into custody.
The incident involving the collapse of the building in Kahna led to police action against the owner and another individual. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the incident.
