14 children have died and 18 others were evacuated after the roof of a tuition centre collapsed in the Kahna area of Lahore.
According to hospital officials, nineteen injured children were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Kahna. Fourteen children were brought dead to the hospital.
Dr Ahsan stated that five injured children are under treatment at the hospital, and their condition is now out of danger.
In Kahna, a woman who ran the tuition centre and her child were also seriously injured after being trapped under the rubble, according to DIG Operations.
The deceased children have been identified as Maha Noor Farooq (8), Salman Waseem (6), Khadija Wasseem (12), Fawad Abid (8), Iman Fatima (7), Tasbiha Shehzad (7) Abdullah Murtaza (5), Urooj Murtaza (8), Rimsha Atif (6), Irtaza Atif (4), Ali Farman (6), Arham Hassan (6), Dua Gulfam (7), and Abdullah Asghar (7).
Police said the roof collapse occurred at a tuition centre in Kahna. Two persons, including the owner of the centre, have been taken into custody.
The incident involving the collapse of the building in Kahna led to police action against the owner and another individual. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the incident.

A roof collapse occurred at a tuition centre in the Kahna area of Lahore. Several children were affected in the incident. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident.
He extended condolences to the bereaved families of the children who lost their lives. He also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased and for strength for the grieving families, and directed that medical assistance be provided to the injured.
