US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of violating a ceasefire agreement after at least four attack drones were launched at a cargo ship off the coast of Oman.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said one drone struck the upper deck of a large cargo vessel, causing damage. He said the ship remained seaworthy and continued its voyage, while US forces shot down three other drones.
Trump said: "One of the drones solidly hit the upper deck of a large and very expensive cargo carrying ship. Damage was done, but the ship was able to proceed on its way. We knocked down three other drones."

He termed the incident as "a foolish violation of our ceasefire agreement".
Trump alleged that Iran launched four one-way attack drones at ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Separately, Trump again warned that Iran would never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, saying Tehran would use them "within the first hour" if it obtained them.
Speaking during a White House ceremony and dinner with farmers, Trump said the United States was negotiating with Iran from a position of "pure strength" following recent military action against Tehran.
He also claimed that Iran's air force and navy had been destroyed during the conflict and said Tehran was now eager to reach an agreement.
"We're negotiating with Iran from pure strength," Trump said, adding that Iranian leaders wanted an agreement "badly" and that both sides would probably reach a deal.
