Most parts of the country are expected to remain hot and dry tonight, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
However, rain is forecast for parts of Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southern and north-eastern Punjab. A few areas of north-eastern and southern Balochistan may also receive rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.
During the day, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 46°C in Nokundi, while Dalbandin recorded 44°C.
The PMD said warm and dry weather would continue across most areas, with rainfall confined to a few upper parts of the country.

Rain brought relief from the intense heat in Khyber district, where temperatures fell noticeably and residents welcomed the cooler weather.
Cool winds swept through Jamrud, Bara and Landi Kotal after the rainfall, improving weather conditions across the district. The rain also reduced dust in the air, leaving the atmosphere clear and pleasant.
Meanwhile, light rain accompanied by strong winds was reported in Peshawar, making the weather more comfortable.
