Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has announced that 22 Iranian crew members of the vessel Lenore/Davina, which was recently intercepted by the United States authorities, reached Karachi safely on Tuesday.
In a statement posted on X, Dar said arrangements had been finalised in coordination with the Iranian missions in Pakistan to facilitate their safe and early return to Iran.

He said Pakistan remained in close contact with both the Iranian and US authorities throughout the process to ensure the crew's safe transit.
Dar said this was the fourth occasion in the past two months on which Pakistan had facilitated the repatriation of Iranian crew members through its territory.
He added that more than 70 Iranian nationals, including the latest group of 22, had so far returned home with Pakistan's assistance.
The foreign minister thanked the Iranian leadership for its confidence in Pakistan and praised officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Pakistani institutions for ensuring the smooth repatriation process.
