Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi commended on Wednesday the Pakistan’s mediation efforts and acknowledged its role in promoting dialogue and stability.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan and China have agreed to continue working together towards a negotiated settlement between the concerned parties.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. During the exchange, Mr Dar conveyed congratulations to Wang on the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China.

The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that the discussion included the Iran-United States peace process, particularly the first round of high-level talks held in Bürgenstock, with mediation efforts involving Pakistan.
'High-level committee formed under Islamabad MoU to oversee mediation process'
It was said that a high-level committee has been formed under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding to oversee the mediation process. Three working groups have been tasked with addressing the nuclear issue, sanctions, and monitoring and dispute resolution, with the aim of facilitating a final agreement within sixty days.
Dar appreciates China's support for peace initiative
Dar expressed appreciation for China’s support for peace initiatives, including the four-point proposal of President Xi Jinping and the five-point Pakistan-China peace framework.

He reaffirmed China’s continued support for Pakistan’s role in peaceful dispute resolution.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to continued cooperation for a negotiated settlement, aimed at ending hostilities and promoting long-term peace, shared development, and stability.
