Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said Pakistan played a positive and effective role in stopping war in the region, praising the country’s diplomacy during Iran, America and Israel tensions.
Addressing youth who completed their training under the Parwaz Card in Lahore, she urged them to become responsible representatives of Pakistan abroad and make the country’s name shine through their skills and conduct.
Maryam said she was pleased to see students who had successfully completed their training under the Parwaz Card programme. She congratulated the youth and said their training would help them become skilled, responsible and capable of fulfilling the needs of their homes and parents.
The chief minister said the sense of responsibility shown by the trainees was commendable.
Youth to get jobs abroad
Maryam said young people trained under the Parwaz Card would get employment opportunities abroad. She added that youth who travel overseas not only earn livelihood but also get valuable opportunities to learn, observe and grow professionally.
The chief minister said unskilled workers abroad do not receive the same status and opportunities as skilled professionals, which is why the government is focusing on modern training.
More than 500,000 youth being trained
The Punjab chief minister said more than 500,000 youth are being trained in their preferred skills. She said modern facilities have been ensured to make manpower skilled and competitive for international employment markets.
Maryam Nawaz stressed that skilled youth can build better futures for themselves, support their families and contribute positively to Pakistan’s economy.
The chief minister told the trainees that they would become representatives of Pakistan wherever they go. She advised them to always keep Pakistan’s dignity, honor and national interest above everything else.
“What you are going to do is also a part of responsible diplomacy,” Maryam Nawaz said, urging the youth to highlight Pakistan’s positive image in the world.
Pakistan’s regional diplomacy praised
Maryam said Pakistan has always worked for peace and stability and played a key role in stopping the Iran-US war. She described Pakistan’s diplomacy during tensions involving Iran, America and Israel as commendable.
She said Pakistan had played a positive role in reducing conflict in the region and would continue to stand for peace.
Referring to Operation Bunyanun Marsus, Maryam said God blessed Pakistan with victory and honor. She said the enemy was defeated in the battle for justice and Pakistan was granted glory in the traditional way.
The chief minister prayed that Allah Almighty continue to grant Pakistan honor, dignity and success.
‘Pakistan’s future is bright’
Maryam Nawaz said the youth must use their talent to make Pakistan proud and present the country’s best face before the world. She said it was the responsibility of young Pakistanis to promote a positive image of the country internationally.
Concluding her address, the chief minister expressed confidence in the country’s future, saying Pakistan’s future is bright.
