Pakistan's Director of High Performance Aaqib Javed said on Tuesday that the central contracts awarded on a format basis are the first step towards establishing separate teams for each format.
Javed calls for separate Test, T20I squads
Expressing his thoughts, Javed said separate squads for each format could be formed in the future. Javed said the Test and T20Is teams would have to be separated immediately.

He said the Test and Twenty20 formats could not operate side by side with the same group of players.
Past 'injustices' highlighted against players
Javed said some players had previously faced unfair treatment before the introduction of format-based central contracts.
