The Iranian media reports said on Tuesday that Iran and Oman have confirmed their joint position on the Strait of Hormuz.
The two countries have agreed that decisions related to the strategic waterway must respect their sovereignty. Iran and Oman have agreed to continue consultations through a joint working group on matters concerning the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran, Oman to boost maritime route cooperation
The joint working group will review future administrative and practical measures for the waterway, Iranian media reported. The two countries will increase cooperation on the management of the strategic maritime route.
Both countries stress regional stability, safe maritime movement
Iran and Oman stressed the importance of regional stability and safe maritime movement. In a joint statement, the two countries said they would examine the future administration of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, along with charges for services provided under international standards.
Tehran, Muscat assert hormuz waters sovereignty
They also emphasised their sovereignty and sovereign rights over their territorial waters in the Strait of Hormuz.
