Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance (PGTA) President Malik Shehzad Awan has welcomed the reduction in petrol and diesel prices and announced a 15 per cent cut in goods transport fares.
Malik Shehzad Awan said the decrease in transport charges followed the substantial reduction in petroleum prices announced by the government. He thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for taking the decision to lower fuel prices and said the move would provide relief to businesses and consumers across the country.
Awan expressed hope that petroleum prices would be reduced further in the coming months.
Govt decreases petrol, diesel prices
It is pertinent to note that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a major reduction in petroleum prices, providing significant relief to consumers amid easing global oil prices and improving market conditions.
Under the revised prices, petrol has become cheaper by Rs74 per litre, while high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs67 per litre.
According to the prime minister, the price of petrol has been reduced from Rs373 per litre to Rs299 per litre.
Similarly, the price of diesel has been cut from Rs378 per litre to Rs311 per litre.
