India Women have clinched victory by beating Pakistan by 64 runs at Edgbaston in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
India Women posted 170 for 6 from their 20 overs against Pakistan Women in Birmingham, after choosing to bat first Smriti Mandhana led the innings with a fluent 68 from 44 balls, striking nine fours and two sixes.
She shared key partnerships with Harmanpreet Kaur, who made 36, and Richa Ghosh, who added a rapid 34. Deepti Sharma remained unbeaten on 12 as India closed on a strong total at 8.50 runs per over.
Pakistan Women began their reply positively, with Muneeba Ali scoring 41, but the innings faltered as wickets fell at regular intervals. Aliya Riaz offered resistance with 18, while others failed to build partnerships.
Deepti Sharma produced a decisive spell, taking 5 for 10 in four overs. Shree Charani supported with 3 for 21, as Pakistan were dismissed for 106 in 17 overs.
India Women won by 64 runs. Deepti Sharma was named Player of the Match.
