Adviser to the prime minister, Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that no amendment regarding the voting age limit is under consideration.
Speaking at a ceremony held during the inauguration of a stadium in Faisalabad, Sanaullah said that young people were not being deprived of their right to vote. He said no amendment relating to the voting age limit was under consideration, though various matters remained under discussion.
Sanaullah said the government was preparing to provide a substantial relief package for the public in the upcoming budget, adding that the prime minister himself would announce the package. He said petrol and gas prices would decline if reconciliation took place between Iran and the United States. He added that inflation and poverty would soon come to an end in the country.
The PML-N stalwart said unity and cohesion must be maintained. He said the nation’s head had been held high following success in the battle for truth, adding that the Muslim Ummah was placing full confidence in Pakistan and that the world today agreed with Pakistan’s leadership.
Sanaullah said Pakistan’s political and military leadership was striving to bring peace to the world. He maintained that the global attention was focused on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, adding that these achievements would help eliminate inflation and unemployment in the country.
