16 militants, including two key commanders, were killed during a joint operation carried out by security forces in Bannu.
According to details, the Pakistan Army, police and other security agencies have continued operations against militants with full intensity.
Security sources said the Pakistan Army, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and police conducted a joint operation in the Miryan area of Bannu after receiving reports regarding the presence of militants.
During the operation conducted a day earlier, 16 militants, including two key commanders, were killed. Militant commander Zamri Noor, accused of spreading fear in the area, and Afghan militant commander Abdullah Saeed were also killed in the operation.
Two police personnel embraced martyrdom while performing their duties during the operation. Funeral prayers for Constable Waheedullah Khan and Constable Noorullah Khan were offered with official honours at Police Lines Bannu.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies have continued joint operations aimed at eliminating terrorism. Operations will continue until the last militant is eliminated.
