Member Punjab Assembly Sarah Ahmad has said that Pakistan–China relations are entering a “new era of cooperation,” crediting strengthened diplomatic and strategic ties under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
She made the remarks while addressing a Youth Exchange Panel held at Capital Normal University in Beijing during a delegation visit marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan–China friendship celebrations.
Sarah Ahmad participated in the event alongside a delegation of Pakistani parliamentarians and political representatives.
She said the purpose of the visit was to strengthen youth engagement, academic cooperation, and cultural exchange between Pakistan and China.
She emphasized that Pakistan–China friendship continues to deepen through people-to-people contacts and institutional partnerships.
Focus on education, research, and innovation
During her address, Sarah Ahmad stressed that future cooperation between the two countries should be further expanded in universities, research institutions, and innovation sectors.
She highlighted the importance of joint research programs, technological collaboration, and academic linkages between Pakistani and Chinese youth.
According to her, the younger generation plays a central role in shaping future global relationships.
Sarah Ahmad expressed appreciation to the International Department of the Communist Party of China for its invitation and hospitality during the visit.
She said such youth exchange initiatives help promote cultural harmony, mutual understanding, and global peace.
She further noted that Pakistani students studying in Chinese universities serve as “ambassadors of goodwill” between the two nations.
She added that youth engagement can help promote peace, reduce extremism, and contribute to a more stable and prosperous future.
Concluding her remarks, Sarah Ahmad said the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and China represents regional stability, development, and shared prosperity.
She expressed confidence that both countries will continue to remain trusted partners in the years ahead, strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.
