Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been granted British citizenship and has received a British passport.
He was in England at the time of receiving the document. He is due to return to Pakistan to spend Eid-ul-Azha with his family. He will play the upcoming county season as a local player.
He will feature in the next Pakistan Super League season as a foreign player.
According to sources, should an Indian Premier League offer be made, he will consider it after consultation.
