The weather is expected to remain dry and hot in most parts of the country, while a heatwave is likely in Sindh and southern Punjab.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that the hot and dry weather is expected tonight in most areas of southern Punjab, upper Sindh, eastern Balochistan and southern Balochistan.
Dadu recorded the highest temperature in the country on Thursday at 47 degrees Celsius. The mercury rose to 46 degrees Celsius in Turbat, Mohenjo-daro and Larkana. Hot and dry conditions are expected to persist in several parts of the country tonight.
Balochistan to remain hot and dry, says Met Office
Meanwhile, the PMD has said that most districts of Balochistan are likely to remain dry and hot. The Met Office said southern districts of the province may experience intense heat during the coming days.
Temperatures recorded in Quetta and Kalat stood at 33 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively, the department said. In Ziarat, the temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, while Zhob recorded 34 degrees Celsius.
Sibi and Turbat recorded the highest temperatures at 46 degrees Celsius, according to the PMD. The PMD has said that temperatures in Nokkundi and Chaman were recorded at 44 and 34 degrees Celsius respectively.
Gwadar recorded 33 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Jiwani stood at 34 degrees Celsius.
