The International Cricket Council has issued its annual update of the Test rankings, with Australia retaining the number one position in the red-ball format.
According to the rankings, South Africa remain in second place, followed by India in third and England in fourth. New Zealand hold the fifth position.
Pakistan have moved into sixth place in the annual Test rankings, displacing Sri Lanka.
In the annual women’s One-Day International rankings, Australia also occupy the top position. England stand second, India third, and South Africa fourth.
Bangladesh have moved ahead of Pakistan to claim seventh place in the women’s ODI rankings.
The ICC has stated that the annual men’s and women’s Twenty20 International rankings will be issued on May 5.
