United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has praised Pakistan for upholding regional stability.
According to details emerged on Tuesday that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from the UN chief. During the conversation, the two discussed the latest regional developments, as well as Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and engagement with relevant parties.
Commending Pakistan’s continued efforts, the Secretary-General conveyed the international community’s deep appreciation and support for the country’s constructive role in promoting regional and international peace and stability.

He also expressed the United Nations’ full support for Pakistan’s ongoing endeavours.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for the immediate reopening of the vital global passage.
An emergency meeting was held at the United Nations over the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, where the Secretary-General said there should be no toll tax and that trade must be allowed to resume, so that the global economy can breathe.
