Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reviewed the austerity measures and expressed satisfaction over their implementation.
According to details on Tuesday, Dar chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Fuel Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures.

He reviewed the implementation status of the measures and expressed satisfaction with compliance. He said that, in view of present challenges, it was essential for all sectors to adopt conservation and austerity until conditions improve.
The Minister for Information Technology presented a dashboard prepared for monitoring the implementation of the austerity measures.
The deputy prime minister emphasised that only essential cases relating to critical and time-bound government work should be considered for exemption from these measures.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers for IT and climate change, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, secretaries of the cabinet, national security, petroleum and planning divisions, chief secretaries of all provinces, and other senior officials.
