The Army Rocket Force Command has successfully conducted a training exercise of the indigenously developed Fateh-II missile system, according to the ISPR.
The Made-in-Pakistan surface-to-surface missile successfully hit its target during the exercise, demonstrating its accuracy, technical capability and combat readiness.
According to the ISPR, the Fateh-II missile conducted surface-to-surface fire and successfully struck its target. The missile system is equipped with advanced avionics and the latest navigation support system.
The successful launch was part of a training exercise aimed at strengthening operational preparedness and validating the missile’s performance.
The ISPR said the purpose of the exercise was to train personnel of the Army Rocket Force Command. It was also aimed at validating various technical aspects of the missile system, improving accuracy and reviewing the performance of different subsystems.
The training launch also helped evaluate the combat capability and technical performance of the locally developed Fateh series missile system.
The exercise was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command and the Pakistan Army. Scientists and engineers from strategic institutions were also present on the occasion.
The forum appreciated the successful firing exercise of the indigenously developed Fateh series missile.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the services chiefs congratulated the scientists, engineers and concerned teams on the successful training exercise.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also congratulated the nation on the successful training exercise of the Fateh-II missile system. He said the missile system is a brilliant achievement of Pakistani scientists and engineers.
Naqvi described the successful exercise as a major breakthrough in the defence sector. He congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the Fateh-II missile system. He said Pakistan is proud of the professional skills of its scientists and engineers.
The successful training exercise marks another important development in Pakistan’s indigenous defence capabilities.
