Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that Pakistan was facilitating talks between the United States and Iran in order to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond, and would continue these efforts.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a key meeting to review the latest situation in the region. Dar made it clear that policy statements regarding facilitation between Iran and the United States were issued only through official channels. Unnamed Pakistani officials and sources did not reflect government policy, he added.

He directed print and electronic media to avoid speculation and to broadcast only the official stance.
Separately, Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
