Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to play a constructive role in maintaining regional peace.
In a message issued on the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace on April 24, the prime minister said Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering commitment to dialogue, cooperation and the peaceful resolution of disputes in line with the principles of the United Nations Charter.

He said that at a time when the international community faces complex security challenges, Pakistan continues to promote the path of dialogue and diplomacy for regional and international peace and security.
The prime minister said Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts in the region remain guided by these principles.
He added that Pakistan will continue to bridge differences and promote regional and international peace and harmony, guided by its enduring commitment to the UN Charter and its desire for peace and international cooperation.
