New Zealand former fast bowler Doug Bracewell has been handed a two-year ban after testing positive for cocaine use.
According to the media reports, Bracewell used cocaine during the County Championship final last year. The test returned a positive result on September 25.
Doug Bracewell was representing Essex at the time of the incident. It has been reported that Bracewell has accepted the sanction, while Essex will face no punishment.
In 2024, Bracewell had already served a separate one-month suspension.
He has represented New Zealand in 69 international matches across formats.
