Ranbir Kapoor is carefully planning his next big film, with two major projects on the table.
As he wraps up ongoing commitments, the Bollywood star is taking his time before making a final call.
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is occupied with filming Love and War and Ramayana.
Both projects are expected to complete production by October 2026, keeping the actor tied up for the next several months.
The actor is aiming to take on one additional project before he begins work on Animal Park, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
The sequel is scheduled to go on floors in late 2027, giving Kapoor a window to fit in another major film.
Dhoom 4 vs Brahmastra 2
According to reports, Kapoor is currently reading scripts for two big-budget films: Dhoom 4 and Brahmastra 2.
While Dhoom 4 is backed by Yash Raj Films, Brahmastra 2 will be directed by Ayan Mukerji.
Sources say Kapoor has liked the concepts of both films but is waiting for complete scripts before making a final decision.
The actor is reportedly being cautious about his next move, given the scale and expectations attached to both projects.
Challenges facing both films
Dhoom 4 is currently in the early development phase, with the studio still searching for the right director.
This could delay the project’s timeline.
Meanwhile, Brahmastra 2 is dealing with casting challenges.
Deepika Padukone was reportedly set to play Amrita opposite Kapoor’s character Dev. However, after announcing her second pregnancy, the makers are now considering a casting change.
At present, Brahmastra 2 appears to be the frontrunner for Kapoor’s next project.
However, sources caution that plans in Bollywood can shift quickly, and multiple factors must align before the film goes into production.
Before making his next move, Kapoor already has two major releases lined up.
Love and War is slated for release in August, followed by Ramayana in November.
