Pakistan and Egyptian armies have successfully concluded a two-week joint military exercise, Thunder-II, at Cherat.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR on Monday, the exercise was aimed at counterterrorism operations and focused on enhancing interoperability through refined drills, procedures and techniques.
Combat teams from the Special Services Group of the Pakistan Army and the Egyptian Special Forces took part, displaying professional skill and operational competence throughout the exercise.
The closing ceremony was attended by the General Officer Commanding, Special Services Group, as chief guest. The Commander of Egyptian Paratroopers, Major General Mohamed Saad Abdel Razik, and Egypt’s Defence Attaché also witnessed the event.
The exercise strengthened longstanding military relations between the two countries.
