Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha and discussed the regional situation, peace and stability, and the promotion of bilateral cooperation.
In a post on social media platform X, the prime minister said the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, during which detailed discussions were held on bilateral ties and the regional situation.

Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen the fraternal relations between Pakistan and Qatar and agreed to enhance cooperation in key sectors, including security, defence and energy.
The prime minister expressed complete solidarity with the people of Qatar and said Pakistan strongly condemns attacks on Qatar and other countries in the region.
He said the meeting was cordial and highly productive, adding that his aircraft received a special protocol escort by a squadron of Qatari fighter jets, reflecting the longstanding ties between Pakistan and the Gulf states as well as Qatar’s warm hospitality and commitment to strong relations with Pakistan.
Earlier, upon arrival in Qatar, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a distinctive and grand welcome as Qatari Air Force fighter jets escorted his aircraft upon entering the country’s airspace.
According to details, as the prime minister’s aircraft entered Qatari airspace, fighter jets of the Qatari Air Force provided a security escort all the way to the airport.
