Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Qatar on an official visit, where he was accorded a warm reception.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani delegation were warmly received at Doha International Airport by Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Qatari Armed Forces presented a guard of honour to the prime minister, highlighting the significance of the visit. The airport and the city of Doha were decorated with Pakistani flags to mark the arrival of the delegation.

The PM is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Also part of the delegation are Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and spokesperson for international media Musharraf Zaidi.
Key meeting with Qatari emir
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to hold an important bilateral meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The talks will focus on strengthening Pakistan-Qatar relations and exploring areas of mutual cooperation.

In addition to bilateral ties, both leaders are expected to exchange views on the evolving regional situation. Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote peace at both regional and global levels will also be discussed during the meeting.
A day ago, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah during a key visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

PM Shehbaz held a detailed meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, focused on enhancing Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations and addressing key regional developments.
Both leaders agreed to further strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors, including defense, energy, and investment.
Saudi investment, economic cooperation
During the talks, Saudi Arabia expressed interest in increasing investment in Pakistan, reaffirming its support for the country’s economic stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the Kingdom’s continued backing and highlighted the longstanding strategic partnership between the two nations.

The leaders also emphasized their shared commitment to expanding economic collaboration and mutual growth opportunities.
Later, after the meeting, the prime minister reached Madinah on Wednesday night, where he was warmly received by the governor of Madinah, Prince Salman bin Sultan, along with his delegation.
During his visit, the PM went to the Masjid-e-Nabwi, where he offered prayers for the country’s progress, the well-being of its people, and global peace.
