The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for rain and hailstorms in various parts of the country.
According to an NDMA spokesperson, rain and hail are expected in Punjab and the northern areas on April 17 and 18. Similar weather is also forecast in the western regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern parts of Balochistan.
The NDMA spokesperson said heavy rain is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while rainfall is also expected in Islamabad and several districts of Punjab.
Moreover, the NDMA warned of rain accompanied by strong winds and dust storms in parts of Balochistan, advising citizens to take precautionary measures.
