Rajpal Yadav has finally revealed why he did not appear in Om Shanti Om alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
The actor says the decision was not intentional but the result of a misunderstanding.
Speaking in a recent interview, Rajpal Yadav shared that he was unaware of rejecting the role in Om Shanti Om.
He explained that producer Bobby Chawla informed him that Shah Rukh Khan wanted to meet him regarding an issue, despite the two having already met earlier that day.
‘I was presented negatively’
Yadav revealed that he was told he had declined the role due to scheduling conflicts — something he insists he never did.
“I didn’t have any idea about it. I was presented negatively in front of Shah Rukh bhai,” he said, adding that the situation stemmed purely from miscommunication.
Equation with Shah Rukh Khan
Despite the confusion, Yadav said there was no lasting tension between him and Shah Rukh Khan.
He recalled that the superstar warmly hugged him on the sets of Billu, showing that there were no hard feelings.
Yadav also praised Khan, calling him a “fantastic” and “complete actor” with experience across theatre, television, and films.
The actor further revealed that he was replaced by Irrfan Khan in Billu.
However, he still appeared in the film, playing the character Budbudiya.
