Karachi Kings middle-order batter Saad Baig on Saturday became the first player in the history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to be retired out for the tactical reasons.
The left-hander played a key role in guiding Karachi Kings to a staggering total against Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen at the Karachi stadium. Baig arrived at the crease with his side under pressure at 59 for three in 7.2 overs.
He then steadied the innings through vital partnerships with Azam Khan and Moeen Ali. He first added 63 runs with Azam Khan before putting on a further 55 with Moeen Ali, placing his side in a commanding position.
