Prince Harry’s past text messages have resurfaced in court, triggering a fresh wave of controversy and reportedly leaving Meghan Markle “fuming.”
The revelations have once again placed the couple under intense public scrutiny.
Earlier this week, Prince Harry appeared at the High Court for a hearing linked to his legal battle against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail.
During proceedings, text messages from 2011 between Harry and journalist Charlotte Griffiths were made public.
The messages reportedly included affectionate language, with Harry allegedly referring to the journalist as “sugar” and signing off with “mwah.”
Another message read: “Miss our movie snuggles.”
Fresh embarrassment for royal couple
The resurfacing of these texts has sparked renewed attention around the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The incident has added to ongoing scrutiny the couple has faced since stepping back from royal duties and dealing with challenges such as their Netflix deal fallout.
Reports suggest the situation has brought a new wave of embarrassment for both Harry and Meghan.
‘Flirty Harry’ nickname emerges
According to a report by Radar Online, the tone of the messages has led to Prince Harry being dubbed “Flirty Harry” online.
An insider claimed that Meghan Markle is “fuming” as the messages continue to circulate publicly.
The source added that she finds the situation both embarrassing and frustrating, especially given efforts to manage their public image.
The insider further revealed that Meghan is particularly unhappy with how the messages portray Harry in a playful and overly familiar tone.
They said this public spotlight on his past interactions has complicated attempts to control the narrative surrounding the couple.
Prince Harry’s court appearance is part of his ongoing lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited, which he accuses of privacy invasion and unlawful information gathering.
The case has drawn significant attention, with each development adding to the media focus on the Duke.
