Islamabad police will deploy more than 7,000 officers and personnel during Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Security and traffic arrangements have been finalised for the festive period. Around 3,000 officers will perform duties at mosques, imambargahs and Eid congregations.
Worshippers will be allowed to attend Eid prayers only after body searches and through designated entry routes. Parking near mosques and imambargahs will not be permitted.
More than 500 traffic police officers will perform duty during the Eid holidays. Special pickets have been set up to curb one-wheeling.
Over 2,000 officers will be deployed for the security of public places, parks and graveyards. Police patrols on foot, bicycles and horseback will also be present at recreational sites.
Entry to family parks will be restricted to families only. Lady police officers will also perform duties at recreational venues during Chand Raat and Eid days.
