Pop superstar Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home came under gunfire on Sunday afternoon, authorities reported, though no one was injured. A suspect was quickly detained following the incident.
According to local media, including the Los Angeles Times and NBC4, police responded at 1:21 p.m. (2021 GMT) after reports of shots fired at the property.
A 30-year-old woman allegedly fired approximately 10 rounds from a vehicle across the street from the mansion’s gate. One bullet reportedly penetrated a wall of the house.
Authorities located the suspect’s vehicle about eight miles from Rihanna’s home and took her into custody. She has not yet been publicly identified.
Rihanna was home
Sources told the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna, who was at home during the shooting, was unharmed. Assault rifle casings were reportedly recovered at the scene.
The suspect fired seven shots before speeding away, according to law enforcement. The motive behind the attack remains under investigation.

Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty, recently celebrated the birth of her third child, a daughter, with partner A$AP Rocky. The couple also share two sons, Riot and RZA.
Earlier this year, A$AP Rocky was acquitted in a separate gun-related trial, during which Rihanna had brought their two sons to court.
