Ishaq Dar strongly condemned the forced displacement of Palestinians and accused Israel of violating the Gaza ceasefire during his address to a UN Security Council meeting.
The deputy prime minister emphasized that reconstruction and humanitarian assistance in Gaza are the urgent need of the hour and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to lasting peace in Palestine.
Addressing the Security Council briefing on the situation in Palestine, Ishaq Dar said the forced eviction of Palestinians is condemnable.
He stated that Israel is violating the ceasefire in Gaza and stressed the need for strict adherence to agreed terms to prevent further escalation.

Dar highlighted that the foreign ministers of eight Arab and Islamic countries have also condemned Israel’s actions, signaling broader regional concern over the developments.
Pakistan joins Gaza Peace Board
The DPM announced that Pakistan has joined the Peace Board formed for the Gaza ceasefire. He underscored that reconstruction and humanitarian assistance for Gaza must be prioritized immediately to address the worsening conditions faced by civilians.
Dar further stated that the central role of the Palestinian Authority is indispensable in all circumstances, especially in post-conflict governance and rebuilding efforts.

On the sidelines of the Security Council briefing in New York, Ishaq Dar met with Sugyono, Indonesia’s Foreign Minister. The two leaders comprehensively reviewed bilateral relations between Pakistan and Indonesia and expressed satisfaction over the depth and strength of ties.
Focus on Gaza, West Bank situation
During the meeting, regional and global issues were discussed in detail, with particular emphasis on the latest situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
Both leaders agreed to continue mutual consultations and close cooperation to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in Palestine.
They reaffirmed their shared commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Palestinian issue in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
