Samsung’s next flagship smartphone is already stirring discussion ahead of its expected launch. A fresh leak suggests the Galaxy S26 Ultra may arrive in new colours and without a titanium frame, marking a notable shift in material choice.
Rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra are gaining momentum, with new information shedding light on its colour options, design direction, and build material.
Galaxy S26 Ultra colour options surface
According to the leak, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch in Black Shadow, White Shadow, Galactic Blue, and Ultraviolet.
Notably, none of these colours are associated with a titanium finish. This marks a potential departure from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which featured a titanium frame.
No Titanium frame this year?
The absence of titanium in the leaked colour names has fuelled speculation that Samsung may be abandoning the titanium frame altogether for the S26 Ultra.
Ice Universe suggests the company could revert to an aluminium frame, citing aluminium’s ability to dissipate heat more effectively compared to other materials.
Last year, Samsung reserved the titanium frame exclusively for the Ultra variant. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy models continued to use aluminium.
If confirmed, this change would signal a shift in Samsung’s material strategy for its premium lineup.
Expected launch timeline
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series, including the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, is expected to be unveiled together.
Rumours point to a launch event on February 25 in San Francisco, with device deliveries likely to begin in early March.
Despite the material change, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to follow the same overall design language as the rest of the S26 series.
However, it is still likely to retain Ultra-exclusive features, including S Pen support, enhanced cameras, Privacy Display, and other premium additions.
