Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said he was being stopped at multiple points in Lahore, warning that such actions would only increase hatred.
Speaking to the media, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister said the Punjab government had, from the very first day, created an atmosphere of 'oppression'. “I am being stopped again and again. Those with a fake mandate do not even realise that this approach will deepen divisions and fuel hatred,” he said.
It may be noted that the KP CM has left for home after completing a three-day visit to Lahore. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders declared his Lahore visit a success.
A consultative meeting of the PTI leaders was also held, which was attended by Salman Akram Raja and other party leaders. The leaders were of the view that CM Afridi’s visit raised the morale of workers, leaders, and their families. A request was also made for him to visit Lahore again soon.
During the visit, CM Afridi met columnists, senior journalists, bureau chiefs, and social media activists. The KP CM also visited the shrine of Allama Iqbal, where he offered Fateha.
