Pakistan Under19 secured a place in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup after defeating the United Arab Emirates by 70 runs in their group match on Tuesday.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a competitive 240 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Ahmed Hussain led the scoring with a solid 65, while Sameer Minhas contributed 44 and Hamza Zahoor added a valuable 42.
In reply, the UAE chase faltered as they were bowled out for 171 runs while pursuing the 241-run target. Pakistan’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Abdul Subhan, who delivered an impressive performance by claiming four wickets to dismantle the opposition batting lineup.
The comprehensive victory confirmed Pakistan Under-19’s qualification for the Asia Cup semi-finals.
