Katy Perry and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau appeared to hint at their relationship on Saturday when the singer posted photos and videos of the two during her Japan tour.
This marked their first public acknowledgment on social media. In one selfie, Perry and Trudeau smile closely together. In another clip, they are seen trying sushi.
Neither has directly commented on their relationship so far, but rumours have been circulating for several months, particularly after the pair were seen together on multiple occasions. Trudeau also attended one of Perry’s concerts earlier this year.

Perry is currently in Japan for her global Lifetimes Tour. She captioned her Instagram carousel: “Tokyo times on tour and more.” Trudeau, earlier this week reposted a photo showing the pair meeting former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko.
“Katy and I were very pleased to have the opportunity to sit and speak with you and Yuko,” he wrote on X, thanking Kishida for his “friendship” and support of the international rules-based order.
Last month, the pair appeared to hint at their relationship when they were photographed holding hands at an event in Paris, coinciding with Perry’s 41st birthday.
