YouTuber Iqra Kanwal has revealed that fellow creator Saad-ur-Rehman — popularly known as Ducky Bhai — is struggling with his mental health after spending time in jail, adding that he currently needs solitude and family support.
In a recent vlog, Iqra Kanwal and her husband, Areeb Pervez, addressed viewers’ questions about why they did not meet Ducky Bhai right after his release.
Areeb said he intended to meet him only after bail was granted, but when he consulted Aroob Jatoi, he was advised to wait.
According to Areeb, it was Ducky Bhai’s first time in jail and the experience was mentally overwhelming. He added that after going through such a painful environment, Ducky needed time alone with his family rather than immediate visits from friends.
“Jail severely affected his mental health”
Iqra Kanwal said the YouTuber had endured a difficult period behind bars, and the impact on his mental well-being was visible.
She noted that it is easy for people to expect someone to return to YouTube “normally” after hardship, but in reality, recovering from such trauma takes time.
Iqra said she has remained in touch with Aroob Jatoi and Ducky Bhai but chose not to visit him considering his fragile mental state.
Iqra added that Ducky Bhai’s wife also confirmed he is currently distressed and not ready to meet others.
She requested that he be given privacy as he works through the emotional strain of the jail experience.
According to Iqra, the YouTuber is “not fully functional yet” and needs space, peace, and the comfort of his family to recover.
Ducky Bhai was granted bail earlier this month and subsequently released.
He had been arrested in August by the Federal Cyber Crime Investigation Agency on allegations of promoting online gambling applications.
