The agenda for tomorrow’s (Monday) sessions of the Senate and the National Assembly has been issued.
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the Senate’s agenda includes the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill. The Senate session will convene at 11 am. The agenda has been released, and the joint standing committees’ report on the 27th Constitutional Amendment will be presented.
The head of the joint committees, Farooq H. Naek, will lay the report before the House, while the Minister for Law, Azam Nazeer Tarar, will move the amendment bill for approval.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly will meet at 4.30 pm. The agenda included a call-attention notice submitted by members of the Pakistan Peoples Party regarding a 35 per cent rise in cybercrime during 2025. Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema will introduce the Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill.
The Assembly will also consider the Iqbal Academy (Amendment) Bill 2025. The report of the Standing Committee on the National Commission for Human Rights (Amendment) Bill 2025 will be presented by Raja Khurram Nawaz, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Interior.
The Motor Vehicles Industry Development Bill 2025 also formed part of the agenda. In addition, the Privatisation Commission (Amendment) Bill 2025, proposing further changes to the Privatisation Commission Ordinance 2000, will be introduced.
