Mild tremors were felt in Karachi and nearby areas on Friday afternoon.
According to the seismic monitoring centre, the earthquake measured 2.2 on the Richter scale. The epicentre was located 24 kilometres north of DHA, and the tremors were recorded at 3:39 p.m.
No damage or injuries were reported.

Separately, few days back, tremors from an earthquake measuring 5.3 in magnitude were felt in multiple cities across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details surfaced, the epicentre was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, with a depth of 234 kilometres.
