Renowned actress Saba Qamar has shared how portraying a rape victim in the popular drama Case No. 9 affected her health, both mentally and physically.
In a Instagram story, the actress said that shooting continuous emotional and traumatic scenes was “not easy” and left a lasting impact on her mind and body.
Saba Qamar posted a clip from the talk show Kya Drama Hai, where fellow artists Shamoon Abbasi, Nadia Khan, and Atiqa Odho praised her powerful performance. Sharing the video, she thanked her colleagues for their kind words and reflected on the challenges she faced during filming.
The actress wrote that performing such emotionally charged scenes can put immense pressure on an actor’s psyche. “Being emotional during such scenes affects the actor deeply,” she shared, adding that the experience led to certain health problems — though she is now taking good care of herself.

Saba Qamar further revealed that she continues to deal with health issues caused by the demanding nature of the role. “I am trying to cope with the health problems that arose from filming these scenes and constantly remind myself to be strong,” she wrote, extending gratitude to her fans and peers for their appreciation.
