Veteran Indian actor Pankaj Dheer has died aged 68 following a prolonged illness with cancer.
Indian media reports confirmed that Dheer had been unwell for some time. His condition worsened significantly in recent months, and he underwent major surgery as part of his treatment.
Dheer was widely recognised for his performances across both film and television. He is best remembered for portraying the role of Karan in the iconic television series Mahabharat, a performance that earned considerable appreciation.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Dheer, and two children.
