Strong tremors were felt in the city of Layyah in Punjab and nearby areas on Saturday.
According to initial reports, Karor Lal Esan and other parts of Layyah experienced the shocks. Residents, gripped by fear, left their homes and gathered in open spaces.
Authorities are assessing the magnitude and epicentre of the earthquake.
