Details of the ad hoc relief allowance for government employees under the federal budget have been released. Employees in Grade 1 will receive an additional Rs540 per month, while those in Grade 2 will receive Rs620 per month.
Employees in Grade 3 will receive Rs730, Grade 4 employees Rs830, and Grade 5 employees Rs940 per month as an additional allowance. Employees in Grade 6 will receive Rs1,050, while those in Grade 7 will receive Rs1,140.
Employees in Grade 8 will receive Rs1,250, those in Grade 9 Rs1,370, Grade 10 employees Rs1,490, Grade 11 employees Rs1,640, and Grade 12 employees Rs1,790 per month as an additional allowance.
Employees in Grade 13 will receive Rs1,950, while those in Grade 14 will receive Rs2,180. Grade 15 employees will receive Rs2,480, and officers in Grade 16 will receive an additional allowance of Rs2,830 per month.
The allowance for Grade 17 officers has been fixed at Rs4,280 per month. Officers in Grade 18 will receive Rs5,330, while those in Grade 19 will receive an increase of Rs5,670.
Grade 20 officers will receive an additional allowance of Rs8,370 per month, while Grade 21 officers will benefit from an increase of Rs9,280. For Grade 22 officers, an additional monthly allowance of Rs10,890 has been proposed.
The allowance forms part of the budget proposals aimed at providing partial relief to government employees from the effects of inflation.
