Actor Gohar Rasheed has opened up about his love story with wife Kubra Khan, revealing that he was the first to fall in love and even faced rejection before the two tied the knot.
During a recent interview, the actor spoke openly about how his life has changed since marrying fellow star Kubra Khan.
Rasheed said marriage brought out the best in him, claiming his “personality has improved by 200 percent” since tying the knot. He credited Kubra for the transformation, saying he’s certain her life has also changed for the better.
Importance of preparing for marriage
The actor stressed that parents should educate their children — especially sons — about marriage and its responsibilities.
“Just as parents guide children about education and health, they should also prepare them for married life,” he said, adding that marriage should never be treated as a taboo subject.

He advised people to marry only after achieving their personal and professional goals, warning that rushing into marriage could lead to frustration and misplaced blame on one’s partner.
Why he chose to marry at 40
Gohar Rasheed also shared that he tied the knot at the age of 40, noting that “wisdom, not age,” determines when one is ready for marriage.
He explained that while some people mature by 30, he personally felt ready only at 40. “Marriage can happen at any age,” he said.
Kubra Khan’s initial rejection and ultimate yes
In one of the most heartfelt revelations, Rasheed admitted that he was the first to propose to Kubra Khan — but she refused him the first time.
Despite the rejection, he didn’t give up. “When I proposed the second time, she accepted,” he said, smiling. Rasheed added that Kubra’s initial refusal was justified, though it did hurt him because “she’s beautiful, and rejection from her stings more.”
The beloved couple tied the knot in February 2025 in Saudi Arabia after being in a relationship for some time. Their intimate ceremony and reception were attended by close family and friends in the holy city.
